Job description

Community Behavioral Health, LLC (CBH) is hiring Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) Direct Care Workers to support adults with serious mental health needs in the community, home, and clinic settings.

This is a hands-on, community-based role focused on helping people function better in daily life by working collaboratively with licensed therapists and psychiatrists to ensure clients are meeting the treatment goals outlined by the professional mental health team.

Adult PRP Direct Care Worker – What You Will Do

As an Adult PRP Worker , you will help adults practice and maintain real-world skills needed to live independently and remain stable in the community. This is not psychotherapy —it is practical, structured support that reinforces clinical treatment.

Typical responsibilities include

Meeting with adult clients in the community, home, or clinic

Supporting daily living skills such as routines, organization, appointment follow-through, emotional regulation, and problem-solving

Reinforcing treatment recommendations from psychiatrists and therapists and ensuring they are attending required appointments

Monitoring progress toward individualized rehabilitation goals

Helping clients navigate community resources and services

Coordinating care with therapists, psychiatrists, case managers, and other providers

Completing required documentation accurately and on time in the electronic medical record

Participating in supervision and weekly team meetings

Schedule & Work Structure (Adult Program)

Primarily daytime weekday hours

Flexible scheduling based on client needs and caseload

Combination of

Face-to-face client visits

Documentation and care coordination

Team meetings and supervision

In-person community visits are required per Maryland PRP regulations

Training & Supervision

Approximately 60 hours of initial training

Training includes

Adult PRP service model

DLA-20 assessments and Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRPs)

Documentation standards and EMR use

Professional boundaries and safety

Ongoing supervision provided by the PRP Program Rehabilitation Specialist Supervisor

Continued education and in-service training are encouraged and supported

Transportation & Travel Requirements

Local travel is a required part of this role

Must have

Valid driver’s license

Clean driving record

Reliable personal vehicle

Mileage and approved travel are reimbursed per agency policy
