The Opportunity
We’re looking to fill an opening for a Manager, Organizational Resilience, to join our Enterprise Risk Management team.
Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Risk Management, the Manager, Organizational Resilience is responsible for leading and enhancing our crisis management and business continuity and third-party risk management programs and practices. Additionally, you will play a key role in support of the enterprise risk management framework, working closely with senior stakeholders to manage and mitigate risks across the organization.
Your responsibilities will include the leadership, development, implementation, and enhancement of (i) comprehensive business continuity plans and crisis management strategies and testing; and (ii) third-party risk management framework, methodologies, risk assessments and providing related strategic insights to senior leaders.

What your day looks like
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Crisis Management and Business Continuity Plans strategies
- Lead the Crisis Management program, including updating Crisis Management plans and procedures, and developing and leading tabletop exercises
- Lead the ongoing implementation and enhancement of a robust Third-Party Risk Management framework, methodology, and process, in collaboration with the Strategic Sourcing team, focusing on identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with third-party relationships
- Prioritize, report, and oversee the management of Aviso’s top organizational resilience risks, including ensuring adequate controls are in place and risk mitigation strategies are planned or in progress
- Create and/or update applicable organizational resilience policies and ensure alignment with enterprise risk programs across the organization
- Mentor internal senior stakeholders and provide guidance to other functional team members on conducting risk assessments and provide subject matter expertise on how to proactively mitigate risk
- Lead, develop, and implement Crisis Management and Third-Party Risk Management training
- Lead the drafting of quarterly senior management and Board of Directors reports, including collecting, organizing, and visualizing risk metrics information. Organize and participate in the Business Continuity Committee
- Present risk assessments and related risk information to senior leaders, providing strategic insights and ensuring informed decision-making
Your experience and skills
- 5-7 years of specialized/relevant enterprise and/or operational risk management experience, in the financial services industry, with 3+ years in a related role leading crisis management and third-party risk management initiatives across a complex, matrix organization
- Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation, RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional certification or similar is preferred
- Crisis Management or Business Continuity Certification (ABCP, CBCP) is preferred
- Proven experience in leading a crisis management program and in risk identification, risk analysis, risk treatment and implementation of risk management strategies
- Strong team player with critical thinking skills and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional relationship building skills – ability to work effectively with and influence people at all levels in an organization
- Proven ability to create alliances and gain commitment and support for desired objectives
- Advanced Power Point and Excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, and inter-personal skills
- Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary
This position is posted with an expected salary range of $115,000 - $124.000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
