INTENSIVE CARE UNIT REGISTERED NURSE (ICU RN)

We are searching for an experienced INTENSIVE CARE UNIT REGISTERED NURSE (ICU RN) at our DHB ICU facility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY

• Provide comprehensive patient care in an intensive care environment
• Assists physicians with bedside procedures such as bronchoscopy, endoscopy, tracheostomy, and PEG insertion
• Initiates and assists with emergency procedures and initiates resuscitative measures according to advanced life support protocols
• Demonstrates knowledge and use of mechanical ventilator machines, telemetry cardiac monitors and transmitter box, IV infusion pump, glucometer, etc.
• Provides excellent patient care every time, which is aligned with best international standards for excellent outcomes.

Required Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCDATION

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing from an accredited University
• 2 year's experience in a clinical setting
• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, IV, EEG, and PALS
• Current registration with Bahamas Nursing Council
