Assistant Manager, Accounts Payable

JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant Manager (AP Non-Trade) is responsible for overall supervision of accounts payable nontrade team in terms of accuracy, legitimacy, timeliness and appropriateness of payment based on company’s internal control and policies and procedures. He/she is also responsible in flash and month end activities, month end reporting (CAS/Attestations/expense review) assisting auditors and preparing report and analysis as required by the manager. He/she is also responsible for the performance management of the team.

ROLE

  • Application of accounting principles and standards ( i.e charging of accounts, entries) and taxation (eg VAT,EWT)
  • Monitoring of payments status including the loading of BDO IDS
  • Checking completeness and correctness of all vouchers / invoices for turn over to SM Treasury
  • Reviewing of completeness and correctness of BIR form 2307
  • Reviewing result of reconciliation of statement of account / demand letters
  • Checking and monitoring of scheduled daily Create accounting
  • Familiarity with the issues reported and monitoring of feedback • Monitoring timely submission of funding requirements for OU processing
  • Coordinating with all BUs for the clean up of AP aging outstanding payables
  • Reviewing validity and correctness of accruals before submission during flash and month end entries including one off adjustments
  • Running of accrual draft and making sure that any exceptions noted is reported immediately
  • Perform pre closing and post closing analysis, flash vs month end amounts and do escalation and make necessary entries if applicable
  • Review monthly reconciliation schedules and resolve aging unreconciled difference
  • Review statutory adjustments
  • Monitoring ROS compliance and coordination with Auditor during audit season
  • Providing directions for daily activities and resolving of issues escalated by accounting staff
