Assistant Lab Technician Chemistry and BioChemistry

The Chemistry & Biochemistry department is searching for an Assistant Lab Technician.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and tearing down chemistry labs with help of the Chemistry Lab Technician.
• Preparing chemicals for chemistry labs from written or verbal directions, provided by the Chemistry Lab Technician.
• Loading and unloading lab dishwasher.
• Hand washing dishes when necessary.
• Restocking the labs with chemicals, glassware, consumable items, etc.
• Cleaning the lab benches, hoods, etc.
• Restocking chemicals to the chemical stockroom shelves.
• Organizing lab supplies.
• Helping with inventory of chemicals and consumables.
• Picking up incoming orders with other student workers or the Chemistry Lab Technician.

Qualifications

• Current ESU Student
• Familiarity with safe laboratory practices
• Dependability & Punctuality
• Ability to follow directions

Additional Information

• Hourly Rate $15.00
• Up to 20 hours per week subject to change.
