Hands-on – Reliable – Technical
Based in Hendra, Australia, you keep our SPMT fleet ready for action across the country. As an SPMT Technician, you maintain and repair highly specialised transport equipment that moves loads others can’t. You split your time between the workshop and project sites, working closely with a skilled crew. Every day, your work directly contributes to safe, precise, and successful heavy transport operations.

Your job in a nutshell
- Service, maintain, and repair SPMT units and supporting equipment (mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems)
- Diagnose faults and return equipment to service safely and efficiently
- Prepare and commission equipment ahead of mobilisation across Australia
- Support on-site transport operations as part of a close-knit crew
- Maintain accurate records and identify issues early
- Work fully aligned with Sarens safety standards and WHS regulations
ABOUT YOU
You are a trade-qualified technician who values precision, safety, and craftsmanship . You enjoy diagnosing complex systems and working hands-on with heavy equipment. You take ownership of your work, support your team, and contribute to delivering challenging transport projects across Australia.
Requirements
- Recognised mechanical trade qualification (Heavy Diesel Fitter, Mobile Plant Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle or equivalent)
- Strong experience with hydraulic systems and heavy plant or transport equipment
- Valid driver’s licence
- Willingness to travel nationally and work away from home when required
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
- Experience with SPMT or heavy haulage equipment is an advantage
- HR/HC licence is considered a plus
