JOB SUMMARY
The Business Development Analyst plays a key role in identifying, evaluating and executing business growth opportunities. This position requires strategic thinking, data analysis and effective communication to drive business expansion.
JOB DESRIPTION/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Market Research: Conduct market analysis, competitor profiling and customer segmentation to inform business development strategies.
- Data Analysis: Analyze financials, market trends and customer behavior to identify growth opportunities.
- Business Case Development: Create comprehensive business cases, including market analysis, financial projections and risk assessments.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business development strategies.
- Opportunity Identification: Identify potential partnerships, acquisitions, joint ventures or new business initiatives.
- Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on potential opportunities, assessing risks and potential returns.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present findings and recommendations to senior management, stakeholders and external partners.
- Project Management: Manage projects from conception to execution, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
- Performance Metrics: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business development effectiveness.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in business development, consulting, investment banking or private equity
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling and data visualization tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking and industry knowledge
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
- Certifications: MBA, CFA or other relevant certifications (desirable)
