Strategic purpose of the position
Set and deliver site /country maintenance and utilities plans according to agreed KPI and budgetary targets Select, train, and develop the functional skills and capabilities of maintenance. production and utilities employees in line with group standards and vision Develop and implement the LTDP for the site together with the senior management team and regional support functions. Provide leadership in operational excellence, develop a culture of continuous improvement through Lean TPM. Ensure the site complies with all legal, safety and environmental regulations Responsible for local team headcount budgets conformance Responsible for generating and driving cost saving initiatives. Responsible for plant Maintenance and Utilities budget
Core Responsibilities
People Leadership
Effective performance management of all direct reports, focusing on behavioral change that will both inspire and motivate individuals to deliver results. Responsible for the quality of maintenance work carried out by all indirect employees Develop a behavioral safety culture and promote a safe working environment by ensuring full compliance with Carlsberg SH&E and LOTO policy process. Recruit, lead, motivate and develop a flexible and agile multi-disciplined maintenance team. Carry out leadership led process confirmations, maximizing the opportunity to coach and engage teams during the process. Actively support other members of the Senior Management Team Budgeting & Improvements Prepare, gain approval for and manage annual maintenance budgets Prepare, gain approval for and manage annual utilities budgets Review maintenance practices, successes & failures with the objective of constantly moving the improvement of cost and performance. Analyze and review utilities consumption with the aim of constantly improving supply and operational consumption Actively participate in the site/country long term development plan (LDP) formation Identify and prepare capital projects for approval and in line with the LDP, which improve operational efficiencies and product profitability. Support and where required take the role in managing material and non-material waste and loss reduction, with cross-functional teams. Encourage and actively support standardized problem-solving methodologies, including Gemba Kaizen, RCA & EWO activities, to resolve day-to-day and chronic problems.
Performance
Prioritize maintenance and utility focus areas Ensure clear focus and communication of initiatives that relate to overall business and site targets, through effective policy deployment Ensure sufficient resource is allocated to key initiatives (internal or external) Drive correct target percentage compliance of autonomous/preventative maintenance through maintenance and operational teams. Utilize machine reliability measures of MTBF / MTTR for effective maintenance approaches with defined machine criticality view. Sets and communicate clear targets for team Ensure utilities consumption targets are part of each operational team targets and that operational teams have a concrete plan to improve Review performance through a structured MCRS and PMS system Be discipline in terms of meeting attendance and management of these meetings Ensure meeting TORs are agreed and adhered to and the plans and action logs are always reviewed according to schedule
H&S / EHS: A. Leader level (with at least one subordinate)
- Lead by example and actively support EHS activities within your area and be accountable for EHS awareness and performance under your area of responsible.
- Ensure to be complied to the Group and local EHS policies and standard.
- Ensure adequate risk assessments are carried out which, involving employees and contractors, during the development of the safe work procedures for the activities to be performed under your scope.
- Ensure all personnel under your control are adequately trained about the risk associated with their jobs.
- Ensure the third-party temporary labour worker working under your area are adequately trained and to be complied for the site EHS rules.
- Ensure adequate PPE is available for employee and contractors working under your area
- Ensure that periodic inspections are conducted to identify EHS concerns and action plans has been developed and implemented to eliminate EHS issues from its source.
- Ensure employee and contractors under their supervision have at least one personnel performance priorities are related to EHS activity or topic.
- Responsible for sites chemical management. Maintain of site approved chemical list and MSDS database. (specific for QC Manager only)
- Responsible for the training and EHS compliance of contractors or supplier on site visit/working. (specific for M&U Manager only)
B. Staff level (without subordinate)
- Cooperate with leader to assist them in achieving their respective targets and objectives related to EHS.
- Follow all procedures and work instructions which EHS, and if the procedures and work instructions are unclear, get assistance/advice from the direct reporting manager immediately.
- Report any accidents or unsafe conditions/behaviours to their direct reporting; suggest ways of improving work methods and/or eliminating hazards at the source to reduce risk. Show care and concern of fellow co-workers in your workplace in terms of EHS.
Professional qualification and competencies
Significant experience and understanding of managing maintenance and utilities KPI and the functional levers relating to people, cost, quality, and service Significant experience and understanding of managing maintenance and utilities Within a brewing and packaging environment. In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to Utilities. Committed to Lean TPM and acts as a role model in order to achieve organizational objectives through sustainable continuous improvements. Educational/minimum requirements
Qualified to degree level or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance and/or Utilities or have significant experience and a proven long-term record of managing maintenance and utilities with an FMCG company Knowledge and experience of applying Lean TPM philosophies, tools, and techniques. Knowledge of key standards in Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental.
