Job Description
- Creates and provides a continuous supply plan for a sizable area that can be used by both internal and external third-party providers, adhering to the proper planning and modelling methodology and toolkit.
- Creates, executes, and assesses supply strategy simulations to determine and suggest the optimal stocking plan to satisfy client needs while staying within inventory goals
- In collaboration with the Operations Manager and Head of Sales, develops, runs, and assesses the demand (forecast) for top-ranked items to guarantee that the proper stock is kept in the proper area to satisfy consumer needs
- Regularly and promptly shares pertinent information with the sales and operational performance procedure as well as to pertinent vendors (internal and external).
- Creates fast and frequent trend analysis, insights, and business suggestions, incorporating these into the operational planning and local sales process to promote maximum availability
- Regularly and promptly assesses risks related to demand and supply planning; finds, effectively and suitably controls and reduces business risk associated to demand
- Keeps track of, evaluates, and draws attention to any discrepancies in a portfolio of suppliers' performance; suggests enhancements made by suppliers to better satisfy demand requirements; offers suggestions to the company to encourage successful contract negotiations or alter the supplier or contract
- Evaluates current activities in one's own field of expertise and use innovative techniques to produce fresh concepts and guarantee that ongoing enhancements are provided
- A nswers questions from clients or vendors, both internal and external, by giving details on complicated procedures and associated policies, citing others as needed to interpret policy
- Supports the involvement of stakeholders by identifying them, learning about their requirements, concerns, and issues, and responding to them by disseminating information to foster comprehension and dedication
- Assists in enhancing the local supply chain leadership team's understanding of the sales and t he process of operational planning, which involves informing and educating colleagues on procedures and optimal planning practise
- Participates in formal evaluation processes, development planning exercises, and other actions to enhance one's own talents as well as unofficial coaching and training
- Any other responsibilities or tasks that the line manager may occasionally assign
Requirements
- A business diploma or degree in supply chain management, or a similar degree.
- Two to three years of supply or demand planning experience.\
- Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to operate in a global setting, and the capacity to establish and maintain solid connections with stakeholders.
- Experience working in a highly cross-functional organisation and a team player.
- A strong sense of urgency and the capacity to work under time constraints.
- Initiative and curiosity, open to learning and facing challenges in a fast-paced, high-energy atmosphere
