Job Summary: A well-established engineering firm in Indianapolis is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their team in a direct-hire role. With over 25 years of experience in transportation, site development, inspection, surveying, and right-of-way services, this firm offers a collaborative work environment and a strong commitment to community involvement. The role is ideal for candidates with a background in transportation and site development projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform civil design tasks for roadway, grading, drainage, utility, and site development projects.
  • Prepare engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans, and schedules.
  • Work closely with project teams, government agencies, and clients, building strong communication channels.
  • Calculate project costs by estimating labor, materials, and related expenses.
  • Monitor construction sites to ensure adherence to construction specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
  • Utilize time effectively to complete tasks accurately, on schedule, and within budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Proven experience in civil engineering design, particularly in transportation and site development.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar engineering software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage both design and project management tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • EIT or PE certification is preferred.
