Data Architect/Modeler

• An experienced Data Architect/Modeler with a proven track record of designing robust enterprise data models for data platform projects. We are seeking a dynamic professional with over 10 years of hands-on experience. The ideal candidate should not only possess the technical expertise to manage project tasks and deliverables but also demonstrate strong collaboration skills and accountability for critical technical and architectural decisions
• Responsibilities:
• Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with BI and DE teams to collaboratively gather requirements for database design and model, fostering an environment of innovation and shared insights.
• Design Leadership: Take charge of designing, implementing, and owning the Enterprise Canonical Data Model (CDM), ensuring its alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
• User-Centric Approach: Collaborate with non-technical business users to deeply understand and gather requirements for diverse business use cases, promoting a user-centric data modeling approach.
• Holistic Understanding: Develop a profound understanding of the data needs of the company, ensuring data solutions are aligned with overarching business objectives.
• Team Collaboration: Engage proactively with the development team, contributing to the design and construction of the database model, and actively participate in implementing database objects.
• Data Migration Expertise: Navigate the company's data migration needs by actively working with the development team to formulate and implement effective migration strategies.
• Metadata Mastery: Collaborate with data engineers to determine metadata querying requirements, leveraging your expertise in shaping efficient data architectures.
• Guidance and Best Practices: Provide valuable advice to data engineers on database performance tuning and best practices, contributing to the overall improvement of data management processes.
• Data Quality Management : Play a crucial role in determining and managing data cleansing requirements and Master Data Management (MDM), ensuring the integrity and quality of organizational data. •
• Skills and Qualifications:
• Technical Acumen : Proficient in relational and NoSQL databases, with a deep understanding of data architecture.
• Educational Background: Bachelors degree in computer science, data science, information technology, or data modeling.
• Modeling Expertise : Knowledgeable in ER modeling, big data, enterprise data, and proficient in creating physical, logical, and conceptual data models. •
• Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with data modeling software such as SAP PowerDesigner, Microsoft Visio, or erwin Data Modeler, etc.
• Communication Skills : Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Attention to Detail : Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in data models.
• Adaptability : Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing independent work with effective collaboration within a team.
