Manufacturing Engineer Intern

Location: Tennessee

General Description

• Develop robust and efficient manufacturing systems
• Design and build manufacturing and test systems that optimize safety, ergonomics, and manufacturability.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Analysis of product assembly process through support for product assembly process
• Support production of assembled products while complying with quality standards
• Contribute to improving work processes by collaborating with the production site management team
• Maintain a working environment in compliance with safety guidelines
• Basic work support for new product assembly process development and improvement
• Layout management support to optimize assembly lines and workspaces within the factory
• Corrective and preventive action process monitoring and improvement activity support

Requirements Work Experience

• 1-3 years in manufacturing environment with strong background in process or industrial engineering.
• Experience in OEM Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, and quality control through internship or field training Education
• Associates degree in related major required (e.g. manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or related science major) Knowledge Skills and Abilities
• Understand the basic concepts of manufacturing process and quality control
• Basic understanding of and ability to comply with safety regulations and procedures
• Basic understanding of automated machinery and equipment
• Ability to respond flexibly even in a changing work environment
• Meticulous attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset
• Compliance with standard procedures and responsibility for safety
• Bilingual English/ Korean preferred
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Enthusiastic, cooperative, and displays a positive attitude
