Material Specialist
Job description
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related discipline. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualification.
- A minimum of ten (10) years' experience in material tracking, warehouse and inventory management, and material cataloguing, including utilization of inventory or logistics systems.
- Demonstrate understanding and capability in using SAP or similar inventory/logistics systems as part of daily operations.
- Experience in managing equipment or material movement for preparation to worksite and/or return from worksite, including involvement in material coordination and procurement processes (e.g. PO creation or equivalent).
- Work closely with warehouse inventory management and relevant operational teams (e.g. Well Services or Drilling) to support inventory planning, including min/max stock levels or equivalent practices.
- Experience in inventory monitoring and reporting, including tracking of stock levels and identification of shortages or surplus.
- Familiar with vendor coordination, logistics processes, and import/export requirements, including customs clearance where applicable.
