Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microbiologist who specialises in the production of micro-organisms to join our team. One of our clients who is a leading company dedicated to the development and production of sustainable agricultural products is looking for a Microbiologist. They specialise in biological pest control solutions and aim to enhance agricultural productivity through innovative microbiological technologies.The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in microbiology, with a focus on producing Rhizobium spp. and Bacillus spp. products. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our research and production team, contributing to the development and optimisation of microbial products for agricultural use.
Key Responsibilities
•
Develop and optimize production processes for micro-organisms, specifically Rhizobium spp. and Bacillus spp.
•
Perform routine microbiological techniques including culturing, staining, microscopy, PCR, DNA sequencing, and bioinformatics analysis.
•
Design and execute experiments to test and improve the efficacy of microbial products.
•
Ensure accurate documentation of experimental protocols, results, and data analysis.
•
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate microbiological insights into product development.
•
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in microbiology and related fields.
•
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to microbial production.
•
Ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulatory guidelines.
•
Contribute to scientific papers, reports, and presentations to communicate research findings.

Educational Background

Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Relevant Experience

Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in microbiology, particularly in a similar industry or research setting.
•
Demonstrated experience with laboratory techniques, equipment, and protocols specific to microbiology.
•
Proven track record in the production of Rhizobium spp. and Bacillus spp. products is highly desirable.
•
Preference for candidates with significant industry experience over purely academic backgrounds.
