Veterinary Assistant

Our Veterinary Assistants are an integral part of our team, and make it possible for us to give our clients and our patients a white-glove experience. Vet assistants are the ones who support our technicians and veterinarians. We need someone who is reliable, kind, and truly has a passion for what they do.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during appointments, surgeries, and other medical procedures
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, and record vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing
• Perform dental cleanings and assist with other procedures as needed
• Clean and maintain medical equipment and exam rooms
• Provide exceptional customer service to our clients
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as a veterinary assistant or technician preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of basic animal care, nutrition, and behavior
• Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• This position can be highly physical, so the ability to lift, stoop, bend and carry up to 50 pounds is a must.
