Position Overview
Tap Healthcare Solutions is seeking a dedicated and clinically focused Pharmacist to join a hospital pharmacy team in Ottumwa, Iowa . In this role, you will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care, ensure the safe and effective use of medications, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
The Pharmacist will play an integral role in medication management, clinical consultations, and patient education while maintaining compliance with regulatory and safety standards. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from approximately $111,000 to $155,000 annually based on experience and the opportunity to grow within a collaborative hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacy degree.
• Active Iowa Registered Pharmacist license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting .
• Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacotherapy, medication safety, and hospital pharmacy operations.
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience participating in multidisciplinary patient care rounds.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) and computerized physician order entry (CPOE) systems.
• Experience with antimicrobial stewardship, medication therapy management, or clinical pharmacy programs.
• Strong commitment to patient safety and evidence-based practice.
