IT Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an IT engineer who has a keen eye, logical and technical thought process, able to problem solve and has good communication skills.

As an IT Engineer, you will need to design, install, and maintain the businesss computer systems. You are also responsible for configuring and troubleshooting hardware, software, networks and printers/scanners to meet the needs of the employees and employer.

About the role

As an IT Engineer, you need to be able to design a computer system/infrastructure, and have good communication skills, be creative along with a logical and technical thought process in order to pitch ideas at an IT meeting, and also to solve problems that different employees may have with the IT equipment. You will need to be able to follow strict deadlines and have problem solving skills in order to more efficiently solve any issues that employees may be facing with equipment. You may also need to train new IT support analysts and you must be able to manage projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
• Supporting, monitoring and maintaining office network systems (Microsoft 365, Trend Micro, Firewall, Hyper-V, VMWare etc)
• Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
• Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone) 5. Setting up accounts and laptops for new users
• Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary, liaise with IT vendors or suppliers
• Testing new technology
• Support business application (ERP, MES, QMS, SharePoint) and writing reports using SQL or BI Tools.
