EXTERNAL AUDITOR RELIANCE AUDITING SERVICES WEST PERTH, WA 6005 FULL-TIME PERMANENT SALARY: $77k - $ 87k PER ANNUM

Reliance Auditing Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented External Auditor to join our professional audit team.

The role will be responsible for planning, conducting, and finalising a broad range of audit assignments across multiple sectors. The successful candidate will bring technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality audit services in line with Australian Auditing Standards, the Corporations Act, and relevant regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

The External Auditor will undertake the following duties, including but not limited to: Audit Engagements: Conduct statutory and compliance audits across a variety of clients including:

o Financial Statements (large and small private companies, listed and unlisted public companies) o Not-for-Profit organisations o Australian Financial Services Licensees (AFSLs) o Trust Accounts, Managed Investment Schemes, Private Ancillary Funds, and Schools o Variable outgoings, grant acquittals, and other specialised audits as required.

  • Risk and Operational Audits: Perform risk assessments, operational reviews, and agreed-upon procedures.
  • Planning & Execution: Assist in developing audit strategies, performing fieldwork, and executing audit procedures in line with professional standards.
  • Technical Advisory: Address complex technical accounting and audit issues; prepare position papers and technical documentation.
  • Audit Methodology & Processes: Support the review and continuous improvement of firm audit methodologies and internal procedures.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements in compliance with AASB and IFRS standards.
  • Reporting & Communication: Prepare audit reports, management letters, and closing documents; liaise with clients and external accountants to resolve queries.
  • Team Leadership: Coordinate, mentor, and support audit teams, ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory requirements.
  • Professional Development: Participate in client meetings, training sessions, seminars, and presentations. - Other Duties: Undertake additional assignments, projects, or responsibilities as directed by management.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional membership (CA/CPA or equivalent) or progress towards completion.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant external audit experience.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB), International Financial - - Reporting Standards (IFRS), and Australian Auditing Standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple audit engagements and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.

SALARY: $77k - $ 87k PER ANNUM
