Progeny HR Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Hospital Medical Technician (ASCP) to join our team at a leading healthcare facility in Englewood, FL. As a full-time employee, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including blood tests, urinalysis, and microbiological cultures, accurately and efficiently
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and calibration
• Prepare and analyze samples, recording and reporting results to medical staff
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all tests performed
• Follow established protocols and safety procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate diagnostic information
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to maintain the highest standards of laboratory testing
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in medical technology and participate in continuing education to maintain ASCP certification
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations, at all times

Requirements

• Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field
• ASCP certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Medical Technician in a hospital or clinical setting
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and terminology
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
