Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic/ Heavy Duty Mechanics

We are currently seeking applicants for a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic w/CVIP Licence and 2nd, 3rd and 4th Year Heavy Duty Mechanics position to assist our client. We welcome you to submit your application, if you are interested.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose all systems including engine, fuel, electrical, driveline and hydraulic systems on all makes/models of tractor-trailers and mounted equipment

Conduct repairs and preventative maintenance on ALL makes/models of tractor-trailers and mounted equipment

Complete all necessary paperwork accurately

Perform CVIP Inspections, listing repairs and parts required

Non related CVIP repairs

Takes ownership of their jobs

Conduct regular maintenance on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance

Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities

Required Qualifications

Certified Red Seal Journeyman Heavy Duty On-Road/Off-Road/Oilfield Mechanic

Dealership experience an asset, Cummins, CAT, Detroit, Paccar, IHC, Mercedes

Class 1 driver’s license would be considered an asset but not required

CVIP Certified

Demonstrate high attention to detail and accuracy of all work orders, reports, etc.

Positive approach to fix right the first time, true team player, NO bad habits

Clean driver’s abstract

Reliable and committed to delivering quality performance everyday

Strong communication and organisational skills

Willing and able to work overtime when asked

Weekends as needed
