Database administration in Pre-Production & Production environments
Performance tuning & making query optimization recommendations
Patching of the Windows Clusters and SQL server instances they host
Working with Technical and Solutions Architects to design and implement new SQL Server solutions using established design patterns
Deploying new instances of SQL Server to Windows Clusters, on-premises virtual machines and Azure virtual machines
SQL Server Backups and Restores
Help plan and execute application database changes
Configuration of new Transactional Replication, and new Service Broker queues
Alerting for SQL Server Infrastructure
Participating in an out of hours Standby Rota
Database Security
Mentoring other DBAs and Application Support Analysts.
