Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Anesthesiologist to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering anesthesia before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort. The Consultant Anesthesiologist will work closely with surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

•

Evaluate patients medical history and determine appropriate anesthesia plans.

•

Administer general, regional, or local anesthesia before surgical or medical procedures.

•

Monitor patients during surgery and adjust anesthesia as needed to ensure safety.

•

Manage post-operative pain relief and monitor recovery from anesthesia.

•

Respond to emergency situations by providing airway management, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, or advanced life support.

•

Supervise and train junior anesthesiology staff or residents.

•

Maintain accurate documentation of all anesthesia-related procedures and patient records.

•

Ensure compliance with medical protocols and safety standards.

•

Collaborate with other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

•

Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent).

•

Postgraduate qualification in Anesthesiology (e.g., FWACS, FMCA, or equivalent).

•

Valid medical license and registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (or applicable body).

•

Minimum of 5 years post-fellowship experience in anesthesiology, with a proven track record of clinical excellence.

•

Advanced knowledge of anesthetic equipment, medications, and techniques.

•

Strong decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills.
