System Administration Engineer

We are working with a fintech company, and as part of their continued growth, NodeFlair has been engaged to search for a System Administration Engineer to join their Singapore team.

The package is competitive at SGD 108k / year (excluding bonus).

Responsibilities

• Manage deployment, troubleshooting, upgrades, and maintenance of IT infrastructure including network, VPN, Windows servers, OS, email systems, applications, and hardware.
• Perform server administration (user access, security permissions, backups) and ensure systems work cohesively.
• Ensure security compliance, patch management, and role-based access control.

Monitor systems and servers; manage backup and recovery procedures.

• Support hardware/software integration, performance tuning, and failure recovery.
• Implement and maintain security policies, firewall configurations, anti-virus solutions.
• Collaborate with IT Support on identity/access management, VPNs, and network security.

•

Provide L2 support and assist with end-user issue resolution.

•

Work with tech teams on infrastructure initiatives.

Requirements

•

Diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related fields.

•

1 - 3 years' experience as a Systems Administrator.

•

Proficient with networking, MySQL, Postgres, PrestoDB, Microsoft 365, Linux/Unix, firewalls, routers, and switches.

• Experience with LAMP stack, Java environments, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab/GitHub/Jenkins, Bash/Python/PowerShell scripting.
• Familiar with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and IaC (Ansible, Terraform).

•

Cloud platform exposure (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

•

Strong communication skills.
