Job Summary

There is an opportunity for a Solicitor to join our Cairns or Brisbane based internal legal team.

Key Responsibilities include

• Drafting, reviewing and assisting with contracts of sale for both businesses and land
• Attending to large property transactions, including due diligence and option agreements
• Preparing and reviewing leases, licence agreements, franchising agreements
• Reviewing and advising on fuel supply agreements
• Satisfying disclosure obligations with respect to franchising and retail leases
• Assisting with procedural processes for rental determinations
• Liaising with our existing external legal panel
• Monitoring numerous critical dates, including settlements, renewal dates, option dates, etc

Experience & Key Skills

Our ideal candidate/s will have

• A minimum of two years experience across a range of property transactions (ideally some experiencing with franchising)
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Able to prioritise and manage conflicting deadlines
• Good drafting skills
• Detail oriented
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team
