Actuarial Analyst

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Actuarial Analyst to support actuarial modeling, pricing, valuation, and risk analysis activities for a global insurance or reinsurance operation . This role will contribute to projects involving reserve adequacy, portfolio analysis, and capital modeling, working closely with senior actuaries and finance teams across multiple geographies.
The ideal candidate has a strong quantitative background, experience working with actuarial tools and data sets, and a desire to build a career in actuarial services within a high-performance, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing actuarial reports, reserve studies, and trend analyses for various insurance lines.
- Support pricing exercises and profitability reviews using actuarial models and assumptions.
- Contribute to loss reserving and financial projections based on claims development patterns and historical data.
- Clean, validate, and analyze large data sets to support modeling and reporting activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in underwriting, finance, and risk to align actuarial insights with business strategy.
- Maintain and improve actuarial models, documentation, and process automation initiatives.
- Support compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and internal governance standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and actuarial techniques.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Progress toward actuarial credentials (e.g., SOA, IFoA, or equivalent); passing at least 1-2 actuarial exams preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in actuarial analysis, preferably within insurance, reinsurance, or financial services .
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with actuarial or statistical tools (e.g., R, SAS, SQL, Python, or VBA) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
