Multi Skilled Helper

Purpose of Job

Assist technicians for the routine breakdown maintenance service on the Client fleet of heavy mobile industrial equipment in the workshop and Client sites and locations.

Educational Qualification

Completion of secondary education from a recognized institution.

1 year Vocational Training in automotive equipment service and maintenance

Good written and oral communication skills in English and Arabic.

Must have posses good health

Must have a valid Qatari heavy duty-driving license including a crane and forklift operator license.

Experience

Minimum of three years experience in assisting to the maintenance and repair of a range of industrials vehicles in oil & gas atmosphere.

Demonstrated experience of changing tyres on mobile equipment viz. Cranes; Forklift Truck mounted Cranes and Shovel.

Should have knowledge of hydraulic systems on mobile equipment viz. Cranes, Forklifts and Truck mounted Cranes.

Should have sound knowledge of different types of tyres.

Duties and Responsibilities

Report to the Client Workshop Foreman.

Assist technician to carries out preventive and routine periodic maintenance and repair works on Client fleet of equipment.

Tyre change all heavy vehicles and equipment as and when required

Assist technicians or drivers in site service i.e. breakdown, refueling of site equipment and plants.

Attend site calls on tyre replacement on Client equipment and vehicles.

Maintain tyre stock list and keep minimum stock for emergency requirements.

Clean workshop and workshop premises every day.

Assist Technical Clerk to draw spare parts and replenish stock.

Assist Equipment Operators as and when required.

Carry out preventive maintenance of bicycle.

Tyre replacement of bicycle.

Assist all technicians, Technical Clerk and Equipment Operators.

Greasing, Oiling and washing as instructed by Workshop Foreman or Client Supervisor.

Comply with the companys environmental and health & safety procedures.

Ensure that the equipment and tools used are in good condition.

Perform other related duties as directed by client Workshop Foreman.
