Legal Assistant

Role Overview

Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to support attorneys and paralegals in a fast-paced litigation environment. The role involves managing legal documentation, coordinating schedules, and ensuring smooth administrative operations within the legal team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, format, and manage litigation documents and pleadings.
  • Handle court filings and maintain accurate legal records.
  • Manage multiple calendars, track court deadlines, and coordinate meetings.
  • Maintain organized document management systems and ensure accurate data entry.
  • Draft legal correspondence, memos, and basic legal documents.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, and external vendors.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of legal administrative or legal assistant experience in a law firm.
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures.
  • Experience with court filings; multi-state filing experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with document management or legal practice software (such as NetDocuments, Centerbase, or similar systems) is preferred.
  • Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills.

Compensation

Salary up to $75,000 depending on experience.
