Position Overview
A Tax Accountant opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in individual, trust, and business tax preparation. This role is centered on delivering accurate, timely, and strategic tax services while building long-term client relationships through year-round advisory support. The position offers a mix of technical tax work, client interaction, and collaboration with financial and legal professionals.
Core Responsibilities
• Prepare and review individual, trust, and business tax returns, including 1040, 1041, 1120, 1120S, and 1065 filings
• Assist with tax planning strategies, compliance matters, and IRS correspondence
• Partner with fiduciaries, attorneys, and financial advisors on complex tax matters
• Ensure all filings meet accuracy, confidentiality, and deadline requirements
• Support clients with year-round tax guidance and problem-solving
Ideal Background
• 3+ years of hands-on tax preparation experience
• Proficiency with Drake, UltraTax, QuickBooks, or comparable accounting software
• CPA or EA credential preferred, though not required
• Experience with trust and estate tax work is a strong advantage
