Veterinarian – Cardiologist

Chattanooga, Tennessee

We are seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Cardiologist to join a growing emergency and specialty hospital. This is a rare opportunity to build and launch a cardiology service from the ground up , with the autonomy and resources to shape protocols, select equipment, and develop a team aligned with your vision for cardiology excellence.

Both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered.

Role Highlights

Build and lead a cardiology department from inception

Establish clinical protocols and select advanced cardiology equipment

Collaborate with ER and specialty teams on complex cases

Mentor and support skilled technical and support staff

Facility & Resources

  • On-site CT scanner, digital radiography, ultrasound, and endoscopy
  • Advanced equipment, including Snyder oxygen cages, LigaSure, PoliPhase sealant, GIA stapler, and transfusion capabilities
  • Chemotherapy and immunotherapy services
  • Isolation ward for infectious disease cases

Candidate Profile

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
  • Board-certified or residency-trained in Cardiology
  • Passion for outstanding medicine and team development
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Motivated to grow and expand a cardiology service within a dynamic ER/Specialty hospital

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary $200,000–$250,000 + 25% production (negotiable, no negative accrual)
  • $75,000 sign-on bonus
  • $10,000 relocation assistance
