Job description

Veterinarian – Criticalist (Emergency & Critical Care)

Chattanooga, Tennessee

We are seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Criticalist (DACVECC) to join a growing emergency and specialty hospital with a diverse, high-acuity caseload and strong clinical support.

Both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered.

Role Overview

Manage complex emergency and critical care cases

Collaborate closely with ER clinicians and specialty teams

Practice with a high level of clinical autonomy

Contribute to a collaborative, team-driven hospital culture

Candidate Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
  • Board-certified or residency-trained in Emergency & Critical Care (DACVECC)
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing a wide range of cases
  • Strong communicator with a professional, team-focused approach
  • Passion for high-quality medicine and collaboration
  • Active Tennessee veterinary license or ability to obtain (licensure transfer fees covered)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary $200,000–$250,000 + 25% production (negotiable, no negative accrual)
