Project Engineer
Job description
We're partnering with a civil construction firm to conduct a search for an experienced Project Engineer. If you have experience supporting construction projects and want to grow your career into Project Management or Estimating, this could be a great opportunity.
Position Details
Title: Project Engineer
Location: Saratoga, NY office with regional project site visits (occasional overnight travel may be required)
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers and Estimators through all phases of projects, from preconstruction to closeout
- Assist with project bidding, subcontractor scoping, quantity takeoffs, and estimating activities
- Coordinate communications between owners, contractors, and subcontractors
- Implement and maintain project control systems, document management, and reporting
- Track project milestones, status updates, and assist with scheduling
- Review project plans and specifications to ensure compliance with safety, staffing, and equipment requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- E xperience as a Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, or Junior Project Manager
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
- Eagerness to grow into Project Management or Estimating roles
Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary: $75,000-$90,000 range
Bonus potential based on individual and company performance
