A CRNA is an advanced practice registered nurse who administers anesthesia and provides care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. CRNAs work closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patient vital signs during surgical procedures
- Develop and implement anesthesia care plans
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and evaluations
- Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective anesthesia care
Requirements
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia
- Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
