German Speaking Customer Advisor – Finance & Banking

Location: Athens, Greece (Office-Based)

Accelerate Your Career in the FinTech Capital of the Mediterranean

We are seeking a professional, finance-minded German-speaking Customer Advisor to join our international FinTech and digital payments division in Athens. In this role, you will be at the forefront of the digital banking revolution, supporting merchants, business vendors, and retail customers across the DACH region. Based in our high-tech Athens corporate hub, you will trade high central European living costs for 300 days of sunshine, nearby beaches, and a thriving international expat community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transaction Support: Handle inbound B2B and B2C inquiries in German regarding electronic payments, online banking navigation, manual charges, and refunds.
  • Merchant Onboarding: Assist newly registered businesses with payment terminal configurations, account setups, and secure data verification.
  • Fraud Prevention & Security: Monitor and flag transactional anomalies, verify high-value payments, and ensure strict compliance with European banking data privacy standards (GDPR).
  • Billing and Troubleshooting: Diagnose processing errors, locate missing payments, and resolve dispute cases with analytical precision.
  • System Operations: Utilize advanced internal banking software, payment gateway tracking systems, and secure CRM platforms simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Language: Native or C2-level German and professional proficiency in English (C1 preferred).
  • Legal: Mandatory EU Passport or a valid permit to work in Greece. (Note: Residence permits from other EU member states are not valid for employment in Greece).
  • Aptitude: Comfort working with numbers, high attention to detail, and an analytical mindset confident in handling sensitive financial data.
  • Schedule: Ability to work structured shifts, typically running Monday through Friday (no overnight shifts required for this specific corporate banking project).
  • Location: Must be willing to work from our physical office in Athens (central location with corporate amenities, a short commute from historical landmarks).

Relocation & Benefits

  • Premium FinTech Relocation Package: Paid flight to Athens, airport pickup, and 4 full weeks of corporate hotel accommodation or rent allowance to support your transition.
  • Financial Package: Competitive monthly salary with 14 payments per year (including Christmas, Easter, and summer bonuses), monthly performance bonuses, and daily meal allowances.
  • Modern Office Culture: Work on an innovative corporate campus featuring cutting-edge financial tech setups, an on-site gym, and collaborative team zones.
  • Professional Growth: Comprehensive, fully paid training (including theoretical training and "nesting" periods), private health insurance from day one (with dental and eyecare), and clear pathways into financial analysis or management.
  • Lifestyle: Enjoy a lower cost of living and a fantastic work-life balance that gives you the time to enjoy the rich culinary, historic, and coastal scenes of Athens.
