Plumbing & Heating Engineer Up to £43,000 per annum DOE Working around the Mid-Sussex area

Here at Kamro we have partnered up with a well known plumbing and heating provider who is looking for a Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join the team. If you take satisfaction in doing things properly, whether its a dripping tap, a boiler install, or whole-system heating work and enjoy a variety of different tasks this could be for you!

About the Role

This role is a busy hands-on position. Your days will likely include installing, servicing, and repairing heating systems, boilers, and associated general plumbing, as well as diagnosing faults and emergencies. You'll handle jobs from start to finish, assessing whats required, working out the best solutions, and leaving sites in safe, tidy, working order. The role also calls for someone who can be self-sufficient but also work well with a small, skilled team when needed.

The contractor is a well-established, family-run plumbing and heating firm based in Mid-Sussex. They've been around since 1968, known locally for exceptional workmanship, dependable service, and high standards. They cover everything from routine plumbing to boiler installation and repair, and they take pride in being reliable and honest not just for big jobs, but the small ones too.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 08:00 17:00

No hidden weekend shifts (unless emergency call-outs or agreed in advance)

Key Duties

Install, maintain, and repair heating systems and boilers to the required safety and quality standards

Diagnose faults in plumbing/heating systems and propose & implement repairs

Respond to emergency repair requests (plumbing/heating)

Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations and Gas Safe requirements

Keep accurate records of work, parts used, schedules, and timesheets

Maintain a clean, safe working environment; manage parts, tools, and equipment responsibly

Key Requirements

Proven experience in both plumbing and heating engineering (installation, service, repair)

Gas Safe registration

Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work with technical drawings or spec sheets

A good eye for detail; quality over quick fixes

Professional manner with clients; clear communication skills

Reliability; someone who turns up, finishes what they start, takes pride in their work
