Production Support Engineer - Hedge Fund

My client, a fast growing hedge fund, are expanding and looking for skilled Production Support Engineer in Hong Kong. You'll join a sharp, dynamic team to ensure trading ecosystems are stable whilst collaborting on system enhancements to further expand services.

What you'll be involved in

• Support Trading Infrastructure: Manage and support manual trading applications, algorithmic trading platforms, exchange/FIX connectivity systems, and risk systems.
• Multi-OS Support: Provide support for trading platforms across Windows and Linux environments.
• Daily Operations: Ensure all trading components are operational before each trading day begins.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with front-to-back teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Release Management: Oversee the release management process to maintain the stability of the production environment.
• Database Maintenance: Maintain and support static databases and associated processes.
• Tool Development: Create and enhance tools to improve monitoring capabilities of the trading environment.
• After-Hours Support: Be available for evening and weekend support, primarily through remote access.

Skills you'll bring

• Scripting Experience: Bash, Command DOS, PowerShell, or Python.
• Support Role Experience: 3+ years in a production support role.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and business analytics skills are required.
• Ownership and Commitment: A strong focus on ownership of issues and dedication to resolution.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
• Technical Proficiency: Expert-level experience in Windows desktop and server administration.
• Linux Expertise: High level of proficiency with Linux OS.
• Database Skills: Expert relational database skills, with a preference for SQL Server and Postgres.
