VP Market Systems (C++ / Java | Real-Time Trading Platforms)

The Markets Systems team delivers mission-critical platforms for trading, market data dissemination, and surveillance across cash and derivatives markets.

As Vice President (Senior System Development Manager), you will lead the end-to-end development of low-latency, high-throughput trading and surveillance systems. You will own architecture design, delivery, production support, and incident management while working closely with infrastructure, cybersecurity, business teams, and regulators.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop low-latency trading and surveillance systems for cash and derivatives markets

• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

• Own end-to-end delivery of complex system projects

• Lead production incident investigation and resolution

• Manage multi-stakeholder initiatives (internal teams, vendors, regulators)

• Drive system reliability, resiliency, and high availability design

• Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks

• Collaborate across infrastructure, security, and development teams

• Promote engineering best practices and technical excellence

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• 10+ years of experience in system design and development (preferably financial services)

• Strong experience in low-latency and high-throughput system architecture

• Hands-on coding experience (Java, C++, Python, or similar)

• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, resiliency, and high availability design

• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and technology controls

• Exposure to cash or derivatives markets is a strong advantage

• Proven ability to deliver complex, multi-stakeholder projects

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
