Semi-Skilled Workshop Operative
Permanent Position Full Time (38 hours per week)
Monday Thursday: 08:00 16:30
Friday: 08:00 14:00
Salary
£14.35 per hour
Role Overview
A company operating in the electro-mechanical engineering sector within the power industry is seeking a number of semi-skilled workshop operatives. Candidates should have experience with machinery operations and/or sheet metal work. Basic training will be provided for the role.
Requirements
•
Full driving licence
•
Willingness to work away for short periods (site rate to be discussed)
•
Basic English and Maths qualifications (minimum GCSE Level 4 / Grade C)
•
Basic computer skills
Key Duties
•
Operate various machinery, including
•
Guillotine
•
Hydro Foam
•
Press Brake
•
Various banding and foaming machines
•
Pillar and pedestal drills
•
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workshop and work area
•
Paint and clean assembled products
•
Report to workshop supervisor regarding workload, issues, and risk events
•
Carry out general maintenance tasks around the site (both inside and outside)
•
Perform basic maintenance on plant and machinery
•
Assist with workshop projects and activities
