Assistant General Manager Club Pilates Modesto

Location: 1707 McHenry Ave, Suite A-2, Modesto, CA 95350

Compensation: $20 - $22/hour base pay + commissions & performance bonuses (effective hourly rate averages $26 - $35/hour)

Schedule: Full-Time | Mix of weekdays/evenings | At least one weekend day required during the initial studio opening phase

About the Modesto Studio

We are thrilled to be opening a brand-new Club Pilates studio in Modesto bringing the power of Pilates to this vibrant community for the very first time. As one of the first faces of our Modesto team, the Assistant General Manager (AGM) will play a key role in building our founding member base, supporting the grand opening, and setting the tone for long-term studio success.

About the Role

The AGM role is highly sales-focused, with strong earning potential for someone motivated by commission and performance. This is a unique opportunity to join at the ground floor of a new studio, helping shape the culture, grow the membership, and represent Club Pilates across Modesto. The ideal candidate is outgoing, organized, and passionate about fitness, with proven sales ability and a drive to achieve results.

Responsibilities

Lead pre-sale efforts by generating excitement, building relationships, and selling memberships before the studio officially opens.

Drive new membership sales and renewals through phone outreach, in-studio consultations, and community events.

Confidently overcome objections and close sales to meet monthly targets.

Support the Studio Manager with day-to-day operations, scheduling, and reporting.

Deliver an exceptional first impression for every member and guestespecially during the grand opening.

Help organize and participate in local marketing, grassroots events, and brand activations to connect with the Modesto community.

Assist with training and motivating the sales/front desk team.

Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming studio environment.

Qualifications

Proven sales experience , ideally in fitness, wellness, or membership-based businesses.

Motivated by commission and bonuses, with a track record of exceeding sales goals.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Confident closer with experience handling price and time objections.

Organized, reliable, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced studio setting.

Passionate about fitness, health, and building a community.

Availability to work a mix of weekdays/evenings and at least one weekend day during the opening period .

Reliable commute to Modesto, CA.

Comfortable completing a background check prior to employment.

What We Offer
