GL - Team Leader
Job description
Key responsibility
- Entering financial data and transactions into the ledger.
- Analyzing financial data and providing financial recommendations
- Reviewing financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts
- Ensuring financial records comply with regulatory standards.
- Preparing and posting journal entries, cash disbursements, cash receipts, bank reconciliations.
Responsible for recording accounting adjustments, accruals, allocations, currency revaluations and translations
- Collaborating with other departments to complete accurate records and provide accounting support.
- Prepare and reconcile system uploads into General Ledger.
- Responsible for any tasks necessary to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Preparing taxes or gathering tax documents
- Acts as the backup for accounts payable and payroll processing.
- Responsible for all aspects full-cycle month-end closing.
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations and monthly schedules.
- Generating financial reports
- Supporting the Auditor, Controller and other financial professionals in their duties as needed.
- Government reporting.
- Participates in institutional budgeting process.
- Analyze financial statements and prepare budget variance analysis using sound judgement and critical thinking.
- Update documentation of business processes and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining storage and organization of records.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Academic experience required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Computing Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong ERP Systems experience (SAP)

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Languages
Good written and spoken English and Arabic.
