Job Title: Housekeeper
Location : Ottawa, Ontario (Must be located within the city)
Job Type : Full-time / Part-time
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality cleaning services and maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in private residences. A key requirement is the ability to travel independently within Ottawa and ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
•
Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and washing windows.
•
Ensure that all areas of the house, including bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and common areas, are clean and organized.
•
Laundry duties including washing, folding, and ironing clothes.
•
Clean and sanitize high-touch areas, such as doorknobs, light switches, and handles.
•
Assist with occasional grocery shopping or running errands as needed.
•
Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed to the homeowner or management.
•
Adhere to safety and cleaning standards to ensure the environment remains safe and healthy.
•
Maintain and organize cleaning supplies and equipment.
Requirements
•
Valid drivers license and access to a reliable car (must be able to travel independently within Ottawa).
•
Must have a current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) or be willing to undergo one prior to employment.
•
Proven experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or related fields is an asset but not required.
•
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
•
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
•
Professional, reliable, and trustworthy.
•
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
•
Must be physically capable of performing cleaning tasks.
