We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our team for a hospital assignment in Toronto.

Job Description

Are you a caring and reliable PSW passionate about delivering high-quality patient care? Join our team and make a meaningful impact in a hospital environment by supporting patients with their daily needs and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility

• Provide emotional support and companionship

• Observe and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing team

• Work under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RN) and Registered Practical Nurses (RPN)

• Follow individualized care plans and hospital protocols

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

• Ensure infection prevention and control practices are followed

• Respond to call bells and emergency situations

• Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning

• Support meal service and feeding when required

• Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for patients

Requirements

• Valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate

• Current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) (within 6–12 months)

• Up-to-date TB Test

• CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment

• Excellent teamwork and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and under pressure

• High level of professionalism and compassion

• Experience in medication assistance is an asset

• Certifications such as NVCI and GPA are considered assets
