Location: Winterset, Iowa

Description

The client is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor (or highly experienced Maintenance Technician) to take ownership of machine and equipment maintenance at a 45,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility. This role is critical to ensuring continuous production uptime and requires strong technical expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial automated equipment such as robotic welders, lasers, and presses.

This is not an office role the Maintenance Supervisor will be directly engaged on the production floor, serving as the go-to expert for maintenance and reliability support.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated industrial equipment.

Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.

Ensure production targets are supported by minimizing downtime.

Plan and perform machine upgrades, repairs, and improvements.

Collaborate with production, engineering, and safety teams.

Maintain accurate equipment history and task tracking within CMMS.

Uphold OSHA and company safety standards at all times.

Analyze downtime causes and recommend technical solutions.

Must-Have Qualifications

5+ years of maintenance supervision or senior maintenance technician experience.

Strong hands-on expertise with robotic welders, lasers, presses, and other automated equipment.

Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.

OSHA certification (or ability to reinstate quickly).

Proficiency in CMMS systems and Microsoft Office.

Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

Strong safety-first mindset with knowledge of OSHA/state regulations.

Willingness to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment.

U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience managing budgets, parts inventory, and maintenance process improvements.
