Sr. Java Lead Developer

Our client, a global financial services firm with investment, research, banking, finance, insurance, and other businesses, is seeking a Sr. Java Lead Developer .

Summary

• As an Application Lead Developer, you will participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution. You will participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow and generally be involved in the full Project Life Cycle.
• Additionally, you will document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/enhance software application modules.
• The Economic Credit Capital technology team is seeking candidates with deep architecture/development ability in Java and database programming languages with computer science, engineering, math, physics, or information technology degree.

Specific qualifications include

• Strong software and business systems design, analysis, and development skills including experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design Working experience in Team Lead and/or Senior Java Developer
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Good Understanding of Risk Management
• Experience in developing and/or supporting 24/7 mission critical applications
• Should be ready to participate in a team development and support of various components of large-scale applications
• Familiarity with distributed computing infrastructures, UNIX Shell programming, Perl, XML, finance, risk management, derivatives, and/or other financial instruments a plus
• Experience using enterprise source control management tools
• Extensive experience working with Enterprise class systems
• Minimum 8-10 years of application programming and development experience including but not limited to JAVA/JEE, Python and frameworks like Spring , hibernate etc
• Experience with multi tier and service oriented architecture
• Extensive experience working on Server Side Java using Messaging and other integration technologies
• Experience working with UI technologies and frameworks such as EXT JS, jQuery etc
• Strong experience with Oracle or similar RDBMS databases
• Experience with Maven, SVN or similar tools.
• Good communication and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Work in an energetic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment and deliver on multiple project streams simultaneously
• Build technology solutions using Agile methodologies to meet complex business needs

• Conduct code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to coding standards
• Modify and enhance existing systems to incorporate new functionality and to optimize them for performance
• Coordinate with analyst teams to execute test plans and provide support during user acceptance testing
