Facilities Manager

Your Impact

This position will be responsible for managing all operational aspects of the global real estate portfolio for ASP as well as managing the daily Facilities operations of the Irvine manufacturing site and reports to the Global Director of Facilities/EHS. The position will champion the function at a global level, working collaboratively with other departments to develop, implement, improve, and sustain facilities programs and processes.

Here's where you'll demonstrate your competencies

Oversees contracts and providers for services including HVAC service/repair, utility management, security, custodial, vending and general facility maintenance

Develops and manages budgets while ensuring cost-effectiveness

Ensures that facilities meet all government, quality, regulatory and health/safety standards

Researches and implements ideas for energy efficiency and cost effectiveness

Oversees building projects, renovations and refurbishments including but not limited to CAPEX investments

Helps teams relocate to new offices and makes strategic decisions around leasing

Drafts reports and makes written recommendations

Manages the purchase, sale, rental, or development of properties.

Monitors real estate expenses and operating costs

Determines rental income and negotiate lease agreements

Authorizes maintenance, repair, equipment, and supply expenditure.

Maintains real estate databases

Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level

Project Management of facilities/real estate related products such as Tenant Improvements

Here's what we'll need from you

Bachelor's degree in engineering or Business administration, or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.

Minimum of 6 years' of progressively responsible, related experience in Facilities management or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial Real Estate management.

Minimum 2 years' work experience in a Medical Device, GxP or similar facility

Proven track record of strong direction and leadership in a complex matrix management structure, with high levels of emotional intelligence and agility.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that can consistently influence and sell the vision to internal and external stakeholders.

An individual who can analyze data, deduce trends and set/change the agenda and focus accordingly.

A quick learner who can assess, evaluate and act on situations promptly.

Excellent organizational ability with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize work on multiple projects

Tenacious and able to work in a high intensity ever changing working environment.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders

Well-developed computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Familiarity with P&ID's, blueprints and mechanical drawings

The position requires occasional travel up to 15%

Certifications, licenses and affiliations include

Preferred Facilities certification such as Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) or Facilities Manager Professional (FMP) and Project Management Professional

Irvine, CA: The salary range for this position is $96,370- $178,940

Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location.
