The BAS Installation Technician will interface with customers and contractors to install and commission our client’s Building Automation Systems for new competitive construction and retrofit projects. These customers will have various products installed that fall into the – HVAC, automation controls, life safety, fire, and security systems category as well as their associated computer systems. You will lead successful on-site installation, start up, commissioning, testing, programming, and troubleshooting of complex building automation equipment and systems without direct supervision. You will train the customer on proper usage, troubleshooting, and basic repair procedures for complex equipment. You will follow detailed work instructions and amend any outdated or incorrect instructions with help of Engineering teams. You will make improvements to training guides and documentation as well as complete project commissioning documentation and maintain on‐going project as‐built documentation. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives in the field to quickly fix any administrative difficulties relating to delivery and installation of proper equipment. Work closely with our installation subcontractors and coordinate work with them to ensure projects are completed on time and per code, standards and contract requirements. Perform a point to point checkout and sequence testing per standard procedures. Perform software/hardware calibration required for proper equipment and system operation.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 2 or more years of experience in Security Systems, Fire Alarm, Building Automation Systems, HVAC Controls, CCTV, Access, Building Management Systems, PLC, or other Automation Controls service or installation
  • High School Diploma
  • 1 or more years’ experience in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid Driver’s License (company vehicle provided)
