Infrastructure Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

System Administrator-Linux (Infrastructure Engineer) will be responsible for deploy, operate, and maintain the enterprise IT infrastructure solution including Server Hardware, Server Virtualization on VMware and Orcale OVM, Network Storage SAN & NAS, RHEL Servers and Windows Servers, Pace-maker Cluster. He/she will provide 2nd level support to Service Desk team and response to NOC calls.

Main Activities / Tasks

•

Responsible forday-to-day operations and administration of Data center IT Infrastructure consisting Server Hardware, Server Virtualization on VMware and Orcale OVM, Network Storage SAN & NAS, RHEL and Windows Servers their HA/Clustering Configurations,

•

Perform daily system monitoring andproactively handle events, incidents and resolve reported problems

•

Installation, configuration and maintenance of IT-system infrastructure in accordance to the security standard and change management policy

•

Performpreventive maintenance of IT-system infrastructure, and patching in accordance to corporate vulnerability and patch management policy.

•

Support and maintain branch-offices system infrastructure

•

Maintain and update on a comprehensive IT-System documentations.

•

Coordinate with vendors for third level support to ensure performance and high availability of the IT-Systems.

•

Support application team in various system setup related to IT-system configuration.

•

Maintain & execution of IT Disaster Recovery Plan consisting of Hypervisors, RHEL&Windows Server, and SAN&NAS Storage.

•

Execution per an assignment tasks until an internal projects, ensure completion in accordance to target schedule.

Job location and schedule

•

Bangkok, Thailand (occasionally Ayutthaya/Bang pa-in)

•

24 x 7 Standby / On-Call Availability (based on duty roster schedule assignment)

•

9.00 am to 6.00 pm

•

Not limit to working overtime/overnight until holidays per any incidents or working schedule

Knowledge and skills

•

Experience in installation, configuration and maintenance of datacenter solution such VMware vSphere ESXi and vCenter HA&Cluster, Oracle OVM, RHEL Cluster Servers, SAN Storage, SAN Switches, Data replication, and Windows servers.

•

Experience in configuration and administration of Hardware Server, Blade server.

•

Experience in Security hardening on RHEL and Windows Server OS

•

Experience in provisioning and configuring SAN/NAS storage and logical volumes.

•

Hands-on experience in supporting & troubleshooting Cluster servers, such as RHEL, Oracle-OVM, and VMware Hypervisors,

•

Experience in patching server operating system, appliance firmware upgrade, and server software upgrades.

•

Familiar with server Access controls, AAA, RBAC, ACL, Active directory integration, Windows and Linux Firewall policy configuration and support.

•

Knowledge in IT/Infrastructure Security Compliance

•

Experience in integrating system Infrastructure with enterprise monitoring (ELK, Log point, SolarWinds Centreon)

•

Understanding of ITIL process incident management, change management and problem management.

Education, qualifications

•

Bachelor degree in IT or computer engineering

•

RHCE certification.

•

Minimum 3 years’ experience in an enterprise environment

•

ITIL and/or VMware certifications is a plus

•

Able to communicate in English

Experience

•

3-5 year technical experience in supporting datacenter IT-system infrastructure.

•

Familiar with Network infrastructure, Security and Risk Management

•

Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced, governmental environment.
