Job description
Overview
We're hiring Senior CNC Machinists for our precision machining facility in Tulsa, OK. We build advanced custom equipment for the construction and utilities industries in a climate-controlled, high-mix, low-volume shop.
The parts are large-format, and the floor is built for them: gantry 5-axis mills, large-format 5-axis mill-turns, vertical turret lathes (VTLs), horizontal mills, and multi-pallet systems — much of it Mazak. You'll build your own setups, prove out new programs, and edit G-code right at the machine.
Why Join Us
- Hone Your Craft : Cross-train on large-format machines few shops run.
- Culture of Ownership : Family-owned feel and collaboration.
- Rewarding Growth : Training, profit sharing and rapid raises as your skills expand.
Compensation
- $29 – $34 / hr
- $4,000 sign-on bonus
- Profit sharing + rapid raises
Shifts
- 2nd Shift : 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM (M-R)
- Weekend Shift :6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (F-S)
What You'll Run
- Mazak mills and lathes across much of the floor
- Large-format 5-axis mill-turns
- Gantry 5-axis mills
- Vertical turret lathes (VTLs)
- Horizontal mills
- Multi-pallet systems for continuous production
You don't need experience on these exact machines. If your CNC fundamentals are solid and you're ready to learn large-scale work, we'll train you on the rest.
Responsibilities
- Setups : Build complex setups from scratch, including custom workholding when none exists.
- Prove-Outs : Run first prove-outs of new programs and machining processes.
- G-Code Editing : Read, edit, and optimize G-code/M-code directly at the control.
- First Articles : Size in parts using offsets, micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators.
- Troubleshooting : Resolve machine, tooling, material, and non-conformance issues on the fly.
- Blueprints & GD&T : Read complex drawings and hold strict GD&T tolerances.
- Mentoring : Train other machinists and suggest process improvements on the floor.
