Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Airport Supervisor to join our team and oversee the day-to-day operations at our airport in Johannesburg. The Airport Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of airport staff and ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of airport operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise a team of airport staff, including security personnel, ground crew, and customer service representatives
• Ensure all airport operations comply with safety and security regulations
• Monitor and maintain airport facilities, including runways, terminals, and parking areas
• Coordinate with airlines and other service providers to ensure timely and efficient operations
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance or safety issues
• Develop and implement procedures to improve airport operations and customer service
• Train and mentor new employees, providing guidance and support to ensure their success
• Create and maintain schedules for airport staff, ensuring adequate coverage at all times
• Prepare reports on airport operations and submit to management as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in airport operations, with 1-2 years of supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of airport regulations and safety procedures
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal
