Senior Financial Analyst, Temporary opportunities available based in Sydney CBD with hybrid working options available

  • Work in a critical function to drive improvements within the Corporate Finance function
  • Develop and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders across government
  • Two full time opportunities are available: a 6-month temporary position AND a temporary position until July 2027
  • Located in Sydney CBD with hybrid working options available
  • Clerk Grade 9/10, Salary $133,348 - $146,945 plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

The role provides financial analysis and reporting services including monthly reporting to NSW Treasury; and reports to key stakeholders to inform decision making and performance.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have

  • The ability to effortlessly analyse, model and interpret financial accounting information
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and experience in complex Balance Sheet and Cashflow reconciliations
  • A methodical and logical approach to work
  • Strong planning and time management skills to meet deadlines effectively
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Superior stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships and navigate competing priorities
  • A proven track record of cutting through complexity and getting things done
  • Demonstrated experience in finance systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), SAP4HANA, PRIME and Oracle Hyperion (not essential but advantageous)
  • CPA, CIMA or CA qualification with substantial experience in management reporting, financial modelling, financial management and accounting practices
