What You’ll Do
The Compliance & AML Analyst will support the Compliance and AML functions of the Company through the performance of AML reviews, compliance monitoring activities, communications monitoring, investigations, regulatory projects and ongoing regulatory obligations.
The role is intended to provide broad exposure across both Compliance and AML disciplines, supporting the development of a well-rounded Compliance professional capable of contributing across multiple areas of the department.
What We’re Looking For
Anti-Money Laundering Responsibilities
- Conduct AML reviews and periodic client assessments.
- Perform sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening.
- Review Source of Funds and Source of Wealth documentation.
- Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence reviews where required.
- Assist with transaction monitoring investigations and alerts.
- Prepare AML case summaries and escalation recommendations.
- Support ongoing AML monitoring and reporting obligations.
- Maintain accurate AML records and documentation.
Compliance Responsibilities
- Review marketing communications and website content.
- Conduct communications monitoring reviews.
- Support compliance monitoring activities and controls testing.
- Assist with policy and procedure reviews and updates.
- Support regulatory reporting and information requests.
- Assist with regulatory projects and implementation initiatives.
- Maintain departmental registers and records.
General Responsibilities
- Participate in internal projects and process improvements.
- Support internal departments on Compliance and AML related matters.
- Participate in cross-training and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Perform any additional Compliance and AML duties as reasonably required.
Qualifications
- University degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Criminology or another relevant discipline.
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in Compliance, AML, Risk or Financial Services.
- Previous experience within a CySEC regulated environment will be considered an advantage.
- Holder of the CySEC Advanced Certificate and CySEC AML Certificate, or willingness and ability to obtain them within an agreed timeframe following employment.
- Good understanding of CySEC directives, AML legislation and regulatory requirements applicable to Cyprus Investment Firms.
- Experience with AML reviews, sanctions screening, EDD and compliance monitoring will be considered an advantage.
